Itinerary and highlights

Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa (5895 m). Climbing Kilimanjaro is accompanied by all types of climate on our planet, from the humid tropics to the icy snowy peaks. The air temperature changes sharply depending on the altitude, as well as the time of day. So, for example, on the lower plains at the foot of Kilimanjaro the average temperature is +30 °C, and already at an altitude of 3000 m only +5...15 °, there may be frosts.

Materuni is one of the highest waterfalls in the Mount Kilimanjaro region. The beautiful trail leading to the falls winds through valleys and hills covered in rainforest, past coffee, banana and avocado farms. On a clear day, it offers magnificent views of the Kibo volcano and the city of Moshi. Once you reach the waterfall, you will have free time to enjoy the views and take a swim.
Swimming in the bowl of the waterfall after trekking is refreshing and invigorating, and the falling noisy and shimmering streams invariably cause elation and an enthusiastic mood.

Therefore, it is strongly recommended for this excursion to acquire not only comfortable shoes, but also swimwear.

On the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro lies the village of Materuni. This is one of the many villages in Tanzania inhabited by the Chagga tribe. The main crop grown here is coffee. On the tour you can learn everything about coffee, from the growing process to the moment when the coffee is finally poured into the cup. You will be able to participate in the coffee production process, after which you will enjoy your own cup of fresh coffee.
