Here you get to be at the home of the giant land tortoise and also the prison which isn't used and learn a little bit about it. Get the chance to also learn a little bit about the prison on this island. From 15.1.2024 the entrance for Prison island will be 12 + 3 usd ( marine conservation).
End your day in the true paradise of the Nakupenda Sandbank where you will enjoy a lunch, fruits and soft drink. Nakupenda means “I love you” in Swahili, the local language of Tanzania. The moment you see and step foot on this sandbank you will fall in love with this little island. Discover the beautiful underwater world around this sandbank with snorkelling and greet all the little colourful fishes, other sea life and the most magical reefs.
Kindly note this tour is subjected to weather conditions. For the shared tour a minimum of 4 people is required for the tour to operate.
Meeting and pickup information
- Shared option. Meet the guide at 09:00 am at Mizingani Seafront. It is a Day Prison Island, Nakupenda Sandbank Tour with Lunch. Enjoy a relaxing day. This option is shared and without transfer. It does not include the Prison island fee of 22 USD/60 000 shillings per person, pay at cashier.
- Private option with transfer : Kindly be at the reception 5 minutes in advance. Upon arrival the driver will confirm your names at the reception.
